Classic Video Games With Real-Life Backdrops Are Delightful

Video games from the 8-bit and 16-bit era mixed with real life environments look awesome, and it's a technique that lets anyone's creativity shine. It's something that Kotaku has covered before but it would be a mistake to not share the new ones.

I Watched A Movie: Star Trek Into Darkness

image

My Review:

Star Trek Into Darkness was one of the best sequels I have seen in a while. While I am casual fan of Star Trek I did find the movie very enjoyable to watch. I wouldn't necessarily say that you have see the first film to enjoy it, but it wouldn't hurt. The movie does reference the first movie a little bit in a couple spots. If you have a basic knowledge of the Star Trek universe and its characters you'll be able to enjoy the movie. The story and characters were very good. Although the movie did feel like it was caring on a little long near the end. The acting was very good, nothing Oscar worthy but was good none the less. The movie had a good mix of action, drama, and comedy. The comedic bits were played off very well and did not seemed forced or out of place. The action scenes were played very well and felt like they belong in the story and were not just forced in there to liven up scenes. As for the drama it it was pro trade fairly well and for the most seemed believable and not forced. I recommend this movie to any Star Trek fan who for some reason has not seen it and to anyone looking for a good Sci Fi movie this summer.

If your looking for which opinion on which of two Star Trek film is better, I would have to say Into Darkness is the better of the two. I say that mainly because the it has a better story and the villains are much better in it. Also the comedic scenes are much better played out. In short that's why I think Into Darkness is better.
